ORDERING & SHIPPING
Q: How long will it take to receive my order?
A: Orders are typically processed in 2–4 business days. Once shipped, they usually arrive within 3–5 business days. You’ll get a tracking number as soon as your order is on the way.
Q: Do you offer free shipping?
A: Yes — we offer free U.S. shipping on all orders over $100.
Q: Can I make changes after I place my order?
A: Because we ship quickly, we’re unable to make changes once an order is placed. Please double-check your shipping info at checkout.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Not yet, but we’re working on it. Tag us @californiahandcrafted and let us know where you’re located — we’d love to bring our candles your way.
Q: My tracking says delivered, but I can’t find my package. What should I do?
A: Sometimes carriers mark packages as delivered a bit early. Check with neighbors or your local post office. If it still hasn’t turned up, reach out and we’ll do our best to help.
PRODUCT QUESTIONS
Q: What kind of wax do you use?
A: We use premium coconut apricot wax — a cleaner, longer-burning alternative to soy or paraffin.
Q: Are your candles vegan?
A: Absolutely. No animal products or testing — just clean, plant-based ingredients.
Q: Do your candles contain paraffin or additives?
A: Never. No paraffin, no dyes, no fillers. Just clean-burning, high-quality materials.
Q: What are your fragrance oils made from?
A: We blend essential oils and natural ingredients to create in-house scents that are strong but never overpowering.
Q: How long do your candles burn?
A: Travel tins (8 oz) burn about 25 hours. Amber jars (9 oz) burn about 40 hours, depending on your space and how you burn them.
Q: Are your jars and tins recyclable?
A: Yes! They’re also great for reuse. Just clean them out and give them a second life.
CANDLE CARE
Q: How can I make my candle last longer?
A: Trim the wick to 1/4” before each burn, and always let the melt pool reach the edges (usually 2–3 hours) to avoid tunneling.
Q: Why is my candle producing black smoke?
A: Most likely the wick is too long or it’s burning near a draft. Trim the wick and move it to a draft-free spot.
Q: Can I reuse the jar or tin?
A: Absolutely. They’re perfect for storing matches, pens, plants — you name it.
Q: Is it safe to burn candles around pets or kids?
A: Yes — our ingredients are non-toxic and safe for home use, but always burn candles responsibly and never leave them unattended.
RETURNS & WARRANTY
Q: What’s your return policy?
A: If your candle arrives damaged, defective, or not what you expected, contact us within 30 days and we’ll make it right. Returns must be unused and in original condition.
Q: Do you offer a warranty?
A: We do! Our 30-Day Candle Warranty covers performance issues, damage, and scent mismatches. Just reach out with your order number and a photo.
Q: How long does it take to process a return?
A: Once your return is received, allow 5–10 business days for processing your refund or exchange.

Q: Do you offer wholesale?
A: Yes! We’re a Top Shop on Faire — you can view our wholesale shop here or contact us directly.
Q: Do you offer private label or custom candles?
A: For select partners, yes. If you’ve got a project in mind, we’re happy to talk.
MISCELLANEOUS
Q: Do you offer gift wrapping?
A: Not at this time, but everything ships securely and neatly packed. While we don’t offer gift messaging, we’re happy to make sure your order arrives looking sharp.
